“Set the record straight. My career failed. Many interceptions and dropbacks/fumbles. So stop coming at my coach and my agent with those offers. Thanks”
That was my primary thought after the game. They finally have that decent to good WR in Hogan and a second decent to good TE in Bennett. In addition the defense seems to be capable of really great stops and the offensive line is finally holding up.
Let’s go back to 2013. David Ortiz was putting together an all-star season at 37 years old, but on one July night in…
Cleveland had 13,888 in the stands last night. So much for being a first place team.
I took a vacation in Baltimore this summer, saw two games, got a cheep hotel walking distance from the park, spent time at the inner harbor. We got tickets off Stubhub for less than list, it was a great 3 days. Awesome stadium.
Baltimore resident here, and I can confirm that the terrible heat/humidity definitely kept me from doing a lot of outdoor activities I would normally do. I usually go to a number of O’s games. This year, I only went to 2. It was a pretty miserable summer.

2) Stuck on 495 trying to get to 95
3) Fearful of parking anywhere outside of a two block radius
4) Ol’ Fish Face finally getting the karma he so richly deserves
You could make the case that they have the best park in the sport, the most interesting and engaging star in the sport (Jones), and the second best player in the AL (Machado). And they hit more home runs than anyone. In theory, that park should be packed.
It’s also likely O’s fans stayed away because this was a series against the Sox. I was there Monday night and the small crowd was easily 35-40 percent Red Sox fans (me included). It’s not fun when nearly half the park is against your team (something Nats fans also know well).
TV ratings are the highest they’ve been for any Orioles season. Maybe its the ticket prices, maybe the start times 7 to earlier for people to rush from work just to rush to a baseball game, maybe the riots last year. Maybe people don’t feel safe walking in the city at night. Alot of factors go into this not just one…
Exactly. You have to invest so much time as a baseball fan, it’s hard to set yourself up for a one-game disappointment after devoting 4 hours a day for 6 months.
It’s tough to get invested when your team might make a one-game playoff to possibly be in the playoffs.
If your team falls apart like a crabcake, this is definitely true.
The Orioles are right in the thick of things, holding on to the second wild card and, at least before dropping the…
