I agree. It's a total coincidence that this happened on the heels of a Twitter harassment campaign in direct relation to the movie.

Lot of folks here seem to interpret "acquitted" as "he didn't do it." It is a matter of public record that he did it. He had sex with a woman who was too drunk to consent. That is established strongly enough that the other guy was convicted. He absolutely did it.
