But that’s not giving them a free pass. That point would only make sense if this port was way below the standards of the Switch’s capabilities or outright broken.

The obvious answer is:

How many people are still buying Ps4s and Xbox 1?  Now compare that to how many people are buying Switches.  I would argue that’s your answer right there.

I imagine MK 11 on the Switch had to have sold well enough or them to port MK 1. Particularly for the reasons you described.

Another reason: Considering that Developers are getting access to the Switch 2, perhaps Midway is confident that putting it out now would be worth it for the amount of people willing to upgrade

We really need to stop acting as if porting to a lower end console is somehow some low effort. It usually isn’t, and I’d argue that it takes a greater effort to work within the Switch’s limitations.  Because honestly, I see that vid and I’m more impressed at the technical wizardry to get it onto the switch in the

This is kind of my first thought too.  That there’s no way that they could be this clueless over how this was going to received. Unfortunately at this point, many companies factor in outrage within their development cycle.

I only have Netflix because I get it through my phone service.

For now Gamepass is still worth it even with the price hike. With that said, it is beyond inevitable that these services will get expensive as time goes on. It’s not just video games too. I have the AMC pass that lets me see 3 movies for free a week. At only 24$ a month, that’s a steal (and yes I am very much aware

I don’t know why the option is always presented as “Absolutely verbatim remake without hte slightest deviation” or “Time ghosts.”

ummm...you do realize most people in their own homes don’t have urinals. They have regular toilets. Shit’s not that hard.

Yeah...but no.

I think Cowboy Bebop live action is a bit better than its reputation suggests. The core casts pretty much brings it, and there are some smart changes that I did like that was added to it.

The problem is that “it looks like a netflix show.” So for every cool setpiece, there’s quite a bunch that fall flat because the

This adaptation, ambitious and captivating as it is, seems doomed before it’s even begun.”

If this show somehow makes it past a 2nd season, I imagine they end it shortly after they arrive at The Grand Line with a “and then they went on further adventures. The End.”

Ain’t no way in hell that Oda will let them try to

I’m kinda okay with that actually. One of my annoyances of Japanese live-action anime is how they try to incorporate the “anime quirks” into the adaptation, and it almost never works. I don’t need to hear a real live person go DERESHISHISHI every 10 seconds. That works in a cartoon, not necessarily in live-action.

Watched the first ep. I think I go back and forth at being impressed at how much it gets right (as well as the pretty neat fight sequences) and then reminded that “oh right, this is a Netflix show.” Despite how much time and effort they clearly went into adapting One Piece’s world, there’s still this general flatness

I have to imagine they offer people a way to opt out of this shit.

Conflicting opinons:

Homeboy was on the internet bragging about getting the game and showing off selling the game to people. Not a matter of whether he deserved it or not: dude was tempting fate and got burned

On the other hand:

More like review bombings are rarely ever indicators of an actual game’s quality and more about how players are dissatisfied with the product (and the people who made it) as a whole.

Overwatch 2 doesn’t have to be the worst game in the world because that’s not the point of review bombing.

I never expected there to be limitless walking planet-side”

Not gonna lie, I have no idea why anyone would want this in the first place.  It doesn’t make the game better simply because you put more stuff in it.

Well I mean....kinda ignoring the elephant in the room there.

It was very meh. Honestly, I found the humor to be “Borderlands 3" level of cringe.  And while, yeah, new IP is always needed, Immortals felt like a game that was proped up almost entirely based on “not being another Assassin’s Creed” rather than its own quality.
