Nah.

I am reading One Piece, and it is interesting seeing how he’s dealt with stuff like politics and gender. He ain’t perfect; there are things that made me cringe, and...sigh fucking Sanji, but for the most the manga does feel fairly progressive.  And I think Oda does double on that even more when it goes on in

Have you not read OP? The story is the definition of ACAB, the government is corrupt and built on a foundation that serves to enrich the few over the many.

Oda is lib as fuck, dude.

I think I”m right there with you.  I was pretty whelmed at what is basically another version of Outer Worlds.  I didn’t perk up until I saw all the ship building stuff.

I really hope this means that we are gonna get a Switch port. I feel like these are games I wouldn’t necessarily play on tv. But I would love to play P4 on the go.

I’ve said enough about P5 to know that I’ll take a pass on it.

Yeah...some of the hot takes here are baffeling and approach near histrionic levels of pearl clutching. Yes, there are absolutely arguments against the f2p elements in gaming, particularly if these games are set up to force players to pay in order to get the most out of it.

What I don’t buy is this idea that if I do

I think you’re making a great point. If you look at beginner guides for any MMO/Gatcha and they are almost always about min/max builds or speed leveling.

Yeah considering they’re selling TLOU Part 1: #JoelDidNothingWrong for $70(!!), it’s going to have to be a more substantial remaster than this. Especially since they already remastered it for the ps4, and you can get that version incredibly cheap.

So yeah, I’m good.

I get the argument being made here because I’ve made a similar argument in defense of hero collectors and gacha games. I tend to think these are valid ways to game, and I think that just because you enjoy them does not mean that you’re addicted to gambling.

However, I think the context here is a bit difference because

Yeah....it’s no where near as simple as you’re making it. Particularly in an industry like video games, I imagine there was a point where the GB crew couldn’t really do this on their own. Particularly if they want to maintain access, be able to get good equipment, and to pay people.

I’d argue it’s worthwhile to go through the manga. A decade ago I speeded through the anime, but the pacing killed it for me and I couldn’t continue on.

Apparently Oda is taking a month long break to prepare for the series final story arcs.  Sounds like we’re only five years away from finally reaching the end.

Yeah. I never got the sense that Gertsmann’s contrarianism came from being an asshole. Dude is hella knowledgeable about video games, and has been in the industry since the 90s.

At some point, you’ve seen everything and hype just isn’t enough anymore.

Nintendo is pretty stingy when it comes to sales. Steam, on the other hand, routinely has sales with discounts of 50% or higher - especially for smaller independent games like the ones mentioned above

If they go all in on that, then this could be really fun.

Yeah I’m definitely one who thinks RE4 did not need a remake. Also when I see this trailer, it makes me wonder about tone. As great as RE4 is, it’s also the game that started to “anime” the shit out of the franchise, and I wonder if the more realistic tone of the new remakes will run counter to that.

A broken clock that’s right twice a day is still a broken clock. And even then, and particularly with this situation, he’d still be wrong anyways. There is absolutely a nuance take on Remote Work in regards to the effect of our society, and I’m certainly not going to suggest that Remote Work doesn’t bring its own

I think I largely agree with everything you’re saying. I play a couple of hero collectors and its annoying to see commenters on here think that the only way to have “fun” with a Gacha game is you have to be woefully addicted. I think mobile gaming is a valid way to play, and it shouldn’t be shat on or seen lesser.

Where

I don’t think that’s necessarily the problem here. Sure it’s a f2p title so of course it has to make its money somehow, so dlc is not surprising. I think what grinds people’s gears is that the game seems to be pushing people pretty hard to make those purchases.

I think its tolerable with a hero collector because,

A “broken clock is right twice a day” ,except a broken clock is still a broken clock. So whatever logical points he may be making is overrided by the fact that he’s still making shit points. Because the context of that memo is that Elon Musk has made it quite known in the past that he despises remote work and thinks
