You’re right, Sony has been making it about them being women. Because they know their movie is going to suck, so they’re trying to shame people into seeing it.

I’ve yet to see any legitimate critics saying it has anything to do with women. Not saying there aren’t, but the vast majority of negativity surrounding the movie has nothing to do with them being women.

This. It was the most loyal, shot for shot remake you could ever hope for. We can argue all day about whether or not a movie should have been made in the first place, but if we were gonna get one, Snyder nailed it.

Unpopular Opinion: Watchmen the movie was one of the best movies of the last decade and better than the source material. Taking out the giant squid and remaining true to the rest of the graphic novel was the best thing that ever happened to that story.

They’re following the source material. Nowhere does it state in the GitS that either of the characters is actually Asian. They’re all full-cyborgs, except Togusa, and even he looks Caucasian.
