They were racing against someone else’s time. The only difference was one less car on the road to crash into. They still had the same pressure to drive very aggressively.

This. The concept of “you don’t need to pay attention until suddenly you do” is the most insane and nonsensical idea I’ve ever heard. You can’t possibly know you need to pay attention unless you’ve already been paying attention. It doesn’t matter if they warn the driver. Either the human always pays attention and the

It’s because nobody expects a Miata to be fast. The miata has the whole convertible two seater thing so it doesn’t need more power. The GT86s are really good cars, but lack something special to make them stand out. They don’t have the size of a miata or the speed of a mustang. But with an extra 50hp they could have

Kia made econoboxes. Tesla makes luxury vehicles. I’m not saying they won’t survive, but a rushed first gen Model 3 isn’t good for Tesla or its customers.

The 86 exists. It’s the epitome of a basic sports car and is extremely fun to drive. Between that, the new “supra” (it’s not a supra), and the Lexus lineup, there’s plenty of cars available at a wide range of prices that are fun to drive. The only thing missing is a sporty econobox. Over the last decade or so, Toyota

Alright, let’s break this down.

Wow. I guess good drivers are easier to replace than crappy writers.

They all bought kia souls.

I don’t even care that it was stolen. That load is improperly marked, improperly secured, and that vehicle is not capable of safely carrying it. Even if the roof held up, strapping it only in the center makes the pole a 40ft long rotating seesaw. They’re lucky the police found them before they got somebody killed.

Well considering what happened, it seems pretty functional to me. But yes, I was expecting to read about someone grilling inside a car.

Such things result from unclear statements of the problem.

The Pagani Huayra has a neat fake manual shifter. (as well as paddles). So there is an option if you’ve got a few million lying around.

Even if those tires were slashed, they were doing her a favor. Those poor things are an accident waiting to happen.

It’s simple. Leave a safe distance between vehicles and don’t pass until you can see what’s coming the other way.

I feel like Subaru is just being stubborn at this point.

Well, Musk isn’t wrong. For example, it’s certainly possible that we could create intelligent killing machines (for warfare) so effective that we wipe ourselves out. And while we can currently do as much with nuclear weapons, the development of such machines would be a more gradual process and we might not realize

Agreed. As long as it’s predictable, it’s more of a quirk (though still dangerous in certain situations). I’m guessing that, since it was rushed out, it was only noticed later and the quick fix was the only practical thing to do. I doubt it was the most dangerous thing on the road.

At first, second, and third glance I thought that was a drug testing cleanse kit.

If the executive had just come out and said “we just didn’t have time to work out all the bugs in the software yet”, that’d be acceptable. It happens.

I have not driven the Nissan but I have driven the ProMaster and it is an ergonomic nightmare. It’s like it was designed to be operated by that alien pod racer sebulba. By comparison, the Chevy Express is downright luxurious.
