You'd be surprised at how things can change pretty quickly. Right now in the minds of the masses there isn't a viable alternative to Facebook, otherwise the exodus would have already begun.

Remember MySpace? Of course you don't, and in a few years you'll have forgotten about Facebook too when the next big thing rolls around.

Apparently while sharks are being endangered, red herrings are still easy to find.

Here is the video, since the one above doesn't load.

Good point, although in popular culture they are mythological beings. In thinking about Thanos possibly in Avengers, there doesn't seem to be a good track record of superhero movies with straight-up alien villians (Galactus, Parallax, are two that immediately come to mind).

Besides the Superman movies, have there been any successful superhero movies where the villain is an alien?

He has experience. Djimon Honsu has already played the Black Panther in the little seen animated series (streaming on Netflix, BTW)

I thought he died a few weeks ago? If not, what was up with all the eulogies in the tech world?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I think Google should buy webOS and incorporate their unique UI elements (cards, Just Type, true multitasking, etc) into Android. Android is just OK, but adding those unique elements will finally take it to great.

iFixit claims that the quarters are "invaluable," so apparently charging $3.00 for them is doing people a favor. In case you're interested, here is the full product description:

You're missing both the reverse vampires and the Rand Corporation.

Gotcha. Isn't it fun when the internet turns on you?

Personal attacks are completely unnecessary.

Why is that so hard to believe? People actually do this, especially in occupations where communications is a major source of stress. They just unplug for a few days.

I'm made of strong stuff.

Well. it looks like Blockbuster is coming back with a streaming option. Maybe this will put some additional pressure on Netflix. I think they getting too smug. [www.bloomberg.com]

I thought that 9/11 had the opposite effect in that filmmakers shied away from destroying New York City out of fear that it would remind people too much of 9/11. LA has become the new favorite city to destroy. Just look at Battle:LA, Skyline and 2012.

No, Google should buy webos and incorporate its UI into Android. Is love to see better multitasking, notifications, and Just Type on Android.

Google should just buy webOS and incorporate its (most likely patented) UI strengths (cards, notifications, Just Type, etc) into Android. Isn't the father of webOS now working for Google?

If by "tentpole," you mean "porn," then yes it does.
