yeah, these are drenched in tells... the aliasing is worse than bad, the shadows are shit, the wonky depth of field is a dead giveaway, I’m sure people here could go on and on about how terribly bad these are, self validating how discerning their critical eyes are.

Nooooo! See the documentary “Helvetica”. It may convince you that this new logo is supremely unimaginitive, and actually behind the design curve for such a forward thinking company. I am sick of helvetica; serifs are not the enemy, and not dead weight, message or otherwise. That said... I LOVE the new single “G” logo…

Of course its a thing. Its called lowering consumption. Why consume the bandwidth if its not necessary? Bandwith is money.

Thats like wondering why people should turn off the lights when they leave a room. Think of how much less redundant data/bandwidth their servers have to handle worldwide. It all comes down to saving money by lowering consumption.

Since Let’s Plays have the person talking over the game, your analogy would be watching videos of people going to clubs to heckle and comment while the comedian is mid-act. If more Let’s Plays were made in The Mystery Science 3K style, i.e. actually funny, then I’d watch. The ones I’ve sampled have had zero relevant…
