Sometimes subjective opinions are still wrong.

I think something else that needs to be mentioned is how shallow the entire thing is mechanically. I played for about an hour-and-a-half and realized that I was kind of getting into the puzzle end game.

I’m sorry but WHAT ABOUT AUNT JANET?! How can people go on and on (and on and on and on) about family, closeness, commitment, the bond of blood and totally forget about the apparently single woman living her own life who had the time and resources to take in *five* children and raise them to be basically competent

I don’t think most people are angry at the end for Hugh, i think it’s that final montage starting when Luke wakes up and the optimistic FM Radio Acoustic Guitar starts up that’s making us all rageful. That’s when the house is presented as some sort of vessel of souls where you can do things like visit your dead child

Here’s a couple of things I dearly wish I’d known my first time through:

If playing on the Switch, take the Joy-Con off of the console before throwing your controller.

I agree with pretty much everything here. I know tons of people who swear by this episode and think it's the greatest thing in the series, but I always thought is was somewhat incoherent and out of place in the series as a whole. That said, I agree there are some moments of brilliance.

No regrets about the woman who ran away,
but a small thorn still pricks the heart, letting one flow along with time itself, living all alone from that day to this. But to the sounds of waves that come and go the migrating birds find their hearts drawn.
