Depends on the country and if the people that have it are Royalty.
I had it placed either in the Middle East or Japan.
What the hell are they going to do when they find it? Demand it back and hope it’s enough? I don’t see any court in any middle eastern country making the accused party to give up the car. Accountability may be low here in the U.S., but that’s non-existent there.
Driving a Mini Cooper S brings up different conversations depending on where I am. Around the mechanics at work,…
Back in the 1960s, Marcos Engineering didn’t have enough money to display their Mini-based sports coupe at the Earls Court Motor Show like all the other manufacturers. So, they took a picture of the car outside the show, printed up a bunch of them, and handed them out to as many show goers as possible in a brilliant…
Not if your goal is extortion. The word “June” makes it sound like sweetness and light and distracts people from the fact it’s just an extortion front.
A bonus - Huntsville is home to actual rocket scientists. There was a category for them in the Huntsville phone book and at least one entry back 10 years or so ago. There are also a large number of engineering support companies if they need that expertise. They can draw from both the low-cost state labor and the high…
Labor costs are lower, as are real estate prices, and because local governments are motivated to bring work in, they often get sweetheart tax deals.
The rust belt would have been screwed regardless.
Of course this America after all. Where assigning blame is the most important thing. Solving a problem, not so much.
“Sports sedan” is not a well established name, but it has an obvious meaning, and it fits perfectly for 4 door performance cars that it often is applied to. “Personal luxury vehicle” means exactly nothing, except it implies that it’s too small for passengers, too slow to be a sports car, and too fancy/expensive to be…
Saying “Crossover SUV” is like saying “sedan wagon.” You’re one or the other.
I’m with Torch here. Yeah, language evolves, but this is some shitty forced evolution. “Coupe” has a very distinct meaning, and MB is absolutely moving in a diametrically opposed direction to it.
Mercedes be like:
Bigger than the Miata but smaller than just about everything else on the road. They modern Minis seem huge when compared to the classic ones, but they’re still very small cars on the outside. They tend to be much larger on the inside, much like the TARDIS.
I had a 2005 convertible for about 5 years and never had a serious issue. I’m now driving a 2018 convertible Mini because I wanted something MORE reliable than my POS VW Eos.
It’s one of the smallest cars on the road, so yes, it’s still a Mini. The Fiats and the Smarts are smaller and maybe there’s a couple roadsters that are similar size. The clubman is a bit longer than the hardtop/convertible but it’s not a bloated micro-SUV like the countryman. They park like nothing else I’ve ever…
Can you take pictures of it next to other cars to show it’s size?
Say like, a Miata, Mustang, Camry, etc.
Yes, yes, and don’t burden yourself with a CVT and boring car. Spend the extra coin and you won’t be disappointed.
Anecdotal evidence, obviously, but I haven’t had any serious reliability issues with my 2012 Mini. I’ve spent maybe $750 on things outside of regular maintenance.
