Most millennials I know have 2 vehicles loans they can’t afford, $6-800/month phone bills, are on their 2nd mortgage, and rake in close to $150k/yr. Yet they are constantly bitching about having no money, not being able to afford to put tires on their vehicle, etc.

Highway?

But look, I can close my car windows with my phone!!! It’s kinda like Apple trying to sell a $1K iPhone “because look, special emojis!!!”

This is the difference between millennials and prior generations. Older generations accepted that working for a company you agree with is a right that you earn with experience. Not being able to find a job and not accepting the ones available are not the same thing.

If you’re still clinging to the idea that you’ll work for an employer that gives you the warm fuzzies and be able to feed yourself, you’re not only in the wrong field but you’re probably living on the wrong planet.

If you have an engineering degree and can’t find a half-decent paying job, look inwards. STEM and most particularly the Engineering sector of stem jobs are in insane demand right now.

The millennial that has an engineering degree but cant find a job outside of the service industry and still has to live with her parents are the ones that cant easily pay for a car

Literally you described my first job. I did it for (2) years giving 110% until I found something better. I sat in the corner, did the work that no one else wanted to do, and was thankful everyday that I was employed in a job in my field.

I don’t like anything extra there’s another monthly bill for.  It’s ridiculous.  I want a car that’s dependable.  I’d LIKE the price to be as affordable as possible.  $2,000 worth of electronics just makes money for the dealers, while not giving me anything that helps the car at all.

Sorry, connectivity isn’t a seller for me, but I’m not one of those damn millenials. If I want connectivity I have it on my phone. I just want to be able to pair my phone with the vehicle for convenience, but it’s not strictly necessary.

LOL, whut??

Neutral: I do not want a car that has an independent internet connection.

GenX Engineer here.  Get (3) calls a week from recruiters right now.  If you are an engineer who cant get a job right now, you are seriously screwing something up.

Who with an engineering degree can’t find a job? It’s 3.8% unemployment overall, learn to interview.

Neutral: Fucking pointless, in my humble opinion... Seems like you trade your cellular service on your phone for ‘WiFi’ in your car that still uses cellular service to connect to the world, that you pay extra for.

Fuck connectivity. Anyone who wants that shit already has it in their phone. They don’t need it in their car. If they don’t have it in their phone, they sure as shit don’t want it in their car.

Lincoln needs to make models called the ‘Penny’ and the ‘Log’.

I’m starting to believe if they stopped drinking micro brew beers (most of which is shit anyways. Yea I said it) and also stopped on the single origin coffee, it could easily pay for a car.

Neutral: Connectivity is very important. I need to feel connected to the car with three petals and mechanical steering.

Neutral: How Much Does Connectivity Matter To You?
