I’ll make your fear real.In 2011 Bart in SF blocked cell coverage to stop protesters from communicating. This also stopped everyone, involved or not, emergency or not from using their legal device. Now imagine any government agency deciding to do that with your car miles from home. There is no tech that bureaucracy won’t

You know, you can just learn to drive better.

Since we’re all friends here on the internet, I’ll let you in on a little secret: I love driving.

I’m with you. Despite being fully aware of the stats, I don’t want any of this tech in my car. I work in the aerospace industry, in software. I know how shitty it can be, how corporations are driven by the bottom line. I don’t want to be sitting in a car knowing that Delphi, or Intel, or Google, hit some quarterly

Wait the Rogue is top 5!? Who knew this? The Rogue? By Nissan?

Have you driven a Miata? or any small sports car? Let me just say, they’re a hell of a package.

Do you like driving? Have you driven one? What do you think of “slow car fast”?

First: PRAISE THE AUTO GODS. Jalops rejoice, our time has come. We shall purchase our Miatas and Fiatas and save us all. We aren’t the heroes you want, we are the heroes you need.

A side effect of this attitude is that high schools are seen as nothing more than college prep, and as such, they focus heavily on the skills that will help kids score highly on standardized tests. That means cancelling shop classes to divert funding. That means that kids who have real mechanical aptitude don’t get

Society is all about sending kids to college. Blue collar work is thought to be for those who can’t hack it in college - in other words, the “dumb kids.” Nothing can be further from the truth, especially these days when you have to be a computer technician as well as a traditional “mechanic.” But college is The One

Exactly, trade school educations can be a far more profitable investment than college; you can make six figures with less initial cost than a batchelors’ degree.

Neutral: Because the US Education system needs an enema. We put so much emphasis on “general education” through all of high school (and usually the first two years of college) that it takes too long for people to learn their own skills and passions. I say we push for more shop/tech classes in high school, emphasize

I think removing the front passenger seat is brilliant. I’d imagine it’s much more comfortable for your passenger to be able to stretch out his or her legs, and it maybe marginally safer in the event of a collision.

As an EE, I think you guys really need to reconsider putting up these schematics. This shit is too easy to make. We love details on Jalop, but lets not spread this information around on the internet more than it needs to be. Find that moral compass and apply that to your journalistic integrity please. Thank you

I wonder how much longer it will be until simplicity becomes fashionable again.

“Larson then went on to say he feels like he’s “in the same category” as Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt and Tony Stewart.”

Lets not forget that he has a Rolex 24 win and that’s the biggest road racing event you can win on this continent.

Kyle Larson is a great racer and one of the few now who had his beginnings in dirt track, where NASCAR is looking to make a resurgence in. Usually a very humble guy in interviews and in person, so I’m surprised he’s being a braggart. But, it wouldnt be NASCAR without some shame-less self promotion and jaw-jacking

I like Kyle Larson a lot, and I do think he’s a generational talent, with the potential to win a Cup Championship as early as this year.
