Reason #74957123 why I don’t do Uber or Lyft.
Reason #74957123 why I don’t do Uber or Lyft.
Uber and Lyft each pointed out that they are limited by state law to checking just the last seven years of an applicant’s history, which they said explains why so many drivers they had passed flunked the government’s more thorough review.
I’ve never understood their aversion to background checks, there is no logical reason to oppose them other than to just be against all regulations.
Background checks have been a major sticking point for Uber and Lyft. Both, for instance, dropped serious loot to spi…
Those are the young’uns. First gen Granddads like this one are reliable and safe.
be sure to not let that addiction get out of hand now... i lost a colleague to it yesterday... so busy on her phone she cycled straight into the back of a parked van and had to be whambulanced off...(broken eyesocket im told)
I second the Golf R.
Look I consider myself pretty decent with money and I’ll play the lotto here and there. Do I play every day? No. Not even every week. But the 2-3 times a year when it’s like 300 million plus...sure I’ll get a ticket. I call it a dollar to daydream. I know I’m not going to win, but on the ride home from the convenience…
Nick won the lottery so naturally, he is thinking about what car he can blow some cash on. But Nick didn’t win…
No, because my phone is shitty and I have a number passcode, so the picture that it would take would be terrible, after a minute of trying to unlock and wait for the camera function to load. Now if I have my digital camera, I’d definitely capture a picture. ^Like this one^ “Sadness is driving a Prius”
“No big deal” she said.
Haha, worthless to you, worthwhile to me. I text these photos to friends later in the day, to let them know someone is driving around in their dream car; not to frame on the wall or use as desktop wallpaper.
I want to know why, at a scant 25 feet from a massive accident, the (corvette?) yellow car is even moving forward at all...
Honestly, the problem I have with Nancy Meyers is that joking about getting into an accident over not paying attention, especially in a way that trivializes it, is not fucking funny. Not one bit. You’re in charge of metal murder machine that weighs north of 2,000lbs. Yes, lapses have them. Nobody’s perfect, and…
Sure, if I see a car that merits a pic and I’m stopped or at a light. My car is stationary, wtf am I gonna hit? The law in Idaho only says your phone can’t be used while in motion, it’s completely legal at a light so long as you put your phone down again once it turns green.
Awesome pics, Red lights ONLY is how to do it indeed
Drive a right hand drive car in the US, then you’ll notice how many people do take pictures and hang out their windows to see your heathen-mobile.
Traffic sucks, but sometimes there are interesting cars. If I’m at a dead stop, I occasionally grab a photo. I may…

Having been an engineer, I can see why the different levels of autonomy were created—basically ladder up incrementally along the spectrum and everyone is roughly on the same page—but that doesn’t mean it should be implemented in the real world.
