Reason #74957123 why I don’t do Uber or Lyft.

Uber and Lyft each pointed out that they are limited by state law to checking just the last seven years of an applicant’s history, which they said explains why so many drivers they had passed flunked the government’s more thorough review.

I’ve never understood their aversion to background checks, there is no logical reason to oppose them other than to just be against all regulations.

No, because my phone is shitty and I have a number passcode, so the picture that it would take would be terrible, after a minute of trying to unlock and wait for the camera function to load. Sure, if I see a car that merits a pic and I’m stopped or at a light. My car is stationary, wtf am I gonna hit? The law in Idaho only says your phone can’t be used while in motion, it’s completely legal at a light so long as you put your phone down again once it turns green.
