Just means its time to put the new engine in the beast!

I’m one of the extended crew for the 24HoL E30 that started as the Porcubimmer, then Prickstine and lastly The Homer. Pretty much the whole time, as new groups of people would find out about the car, we’d get the fanboi hate such as OMG WHAT A TRAVESTY - HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO A BMW!!!ONE!!!

A chunk of engine had punctured the firewall of the car behind the throttle pedal. She pulled the tab to release the onboard fire system as soon as she saw flames peeking out through the hole and climbed out to safety.

Just because its easy, doesn’t mean people have to do it. Nobody forces or tricks you into running up $10,000 in credit card debt, just like nobody forces anybody into buying a new car for double their annual salary.

The Mini is fun to drive. The Nitro has no redeeming qualities.

It did not avoid a crash, therefore it holds some fault.

SkyNet: “If humans were extinct, you wouldn’t need cars.”

fails to emphasize is that the AV was 100% not at fault. The human driver caused the crash and the outcome would have been the same or worse if they hit another car piloted by a human.

So take away already crowded lanes from regular traffic? Yeah, that sounds absolutely horrible.

I think you have overlooked the subtext of this very likely response to autonomous vehicles. Infrastructure won’t be doubled. Access to the infrastructure will be incrementally withdrawn from human operated vehicles until the last of us are relegated some pothole strewn frontage route. Forbidden from the ultra modern

This is silly. It is a collision between automobiles. The human operated vehicle ran into another vehicle that was computer operated. The human made an error in judgement, the computer could not compensate quickly enough and bam! They collided. Not a big deal. I am no proponent of computer controlled cars but this is

Even when not at faul for accidents, what do these cars do to mitigate potential accidents? For example, something as simple as honking.

Yeah, when I was younger I got myself into $2,000 worth of credit card debt. That doesn’t seem like much but I learned my lesson. I’m never doing that again! If I can’t pay the card off every month then I’m not buying it.

Average household with credit card debt is $16,748. I think this might be lower than years previous.

I can get Ford x-plan pricing through my company, which is half a percent under dealer invoice plus $400. If I was going to get a new car, that’d be a really tempting offer.

And just like houses, repo’d cars will loose much of their value if a large amount of them is repo’d at once flooding the market. This could lead to massive losses to the banks repo’ing these cars. Probably won’t cause them to fail, but do we really want to find that out?

A. If Fords cars weren’t reliable, then our free market would reflect that. The fact that people are able to, and choose to, hold on to their vehicles longer than ever before is part of the reason why sales numbers industry-wide are dropping.

Ford is better than FCA, period.
