The RF is vastly inferior to the 3rd generation PHRT. It’s heavier, difficult to see out of when the “top” is down, and creates wind buffeting at speed. While the RF looks better than the PHRT, the PHRT is a superior convertible.

Don’t pass a police officer, period. If he slows down, you slow down. If he stops, you stop. When he comes back to ask you why you didn’t pass him, ask him why he was so intent on having you pass him.

The CX-5 is the same size class as the Escape/RAV-4/CR-V/etc., the CX-3 is competing with the HR-V/Jeep Renegade/Nissan Juke sizewise while the CX-9 is competing with the Highlander and Pilot.

The Outback no longer offers a manual.

AFAIK, cargo space is the same as the softtop since it uses the softtop well for the hard top.

I think the CX-3 is based on the Mazda 2, and the CX-5 is based on the Mazda3. Apparently Mazda likes to mess with logic.

I used to feel the same way you did, and then last year I found myself needing (really, just seriously wanting) more space than a sedan could offer with less fuel economy destruction than a truck or van. I’m a big guy, and unfortunately that rules out a lot of smaller options like a Golf Sportwagen. I definitely

The 3 I believe.

At the risk of sounding like an asshole, let me counter you on your statement.

Also basic economics: you get more of what you subsidize.

I always feel totally out of touch on things like this. I’m 31, no student loans, and bought two new cars within a few years of graduating. Went to an inexpensive commuter school, lived at home, and worked nearly full time, and have been consistently gainfully employed since.

You’re going to get heat for this but it’s a good post and there’s truth in it.

Every time someone mentions their degree and that it did nothing for them I immediately go back to what degree they received. If you want to go to college then pick an area with limitless job opportunities. Don’t pick something like video production that is tough as nails to get good jobs in. Medical and STEM jobs

Facts. The irony here is in this very article Ford needs people with a specific professional skill set that they apparently aren’t enough of. Stop getting useless degrees because it’s “speaks to you”. Get degrees that are in demand. That’s real life. If you say “I could never do something I don’t love”, then never

All the applause gifs. Going to college was the biggest financial mistake of my life. I started at 19, got a degree in video production, and now, at 32, I’m about to finally finally finish paying off my student loans. All with a job I could’ve gotten with the education I received in high school.

You know what basic economics is? Not getting yourself in debt for a degree that will not allow you get into a career to pay off said debt (i.e. Journalism, which is dead by the way). Education should be treated as an investment in yourself, and return on investment should be considered before making the purchase.

Same here..

I walked out from a local Nissan dealership’s salesroom when the salesman and his supervisor came back to us with only the estimated monthly or bi-weekly payment amounts. Nothing more. We said nah, we need to see the details and the all-in price. They replied that they wouldn’t do that for us unless we committed to
