Come on man fix that! Actually it is probably so brittle it will break soon enough.

That’s just condescending. Putting a backup camera in a Miata is just nonsense. Absolutely zero need for it. Also they are useless if there is any form of condensation, dirt, dust etc. on the lenses. Keep engineering anti-stupid features just creates more stupid.

Thats before Trump, now whatever he says, they automatically attack. He could cure cancer, and the media would say how awful trump is for destroying healthcare jobs.

I’m upset that the dealership and manufacturer have created a monopoly and are therefore fixing prices. Speedo shops could be licensed/bonded if they are not already, and that would address the honesty problem.

exactly what schererna said— not so much rolling back new cars odometers o preserve value, but rolling back odometers in general for customers for various reasons, like over driving your insurance limit... honestly, that’s a little more fraudulent/scary if they’re doing it that flippantly.

If I were an insurance company, I would certainly be looking into this. If Ferrari knowingly helped owners roll back odometers to “scam” insurance companies and future buyers then that is a very very big deal, potentially diesel-gate level shit.

Only the gen 1s. I have x2 gen 2 so far (only got another one because the first was a victim of a car crash) and never had any major problems. The first one was a 2008 and only had 2 issues, the shade for the drivers sunroof fell apart, and the other problem was pure bad luck. The passenger (ahem my father ahem) took

I have an R53 (2002-2006) MINI and I LOVE IT. I haven’t had any issues with it since I bought it used in ‘12. I’ve had to replace a few things that shouldn’t have gone as soon as they did but it’s still a solid car, and a lot of fun.

They’re not really that bad, had mine for 2years and about 30k miles now

Other than wear and tear items the only thing I’ve had to get done is the timing chain replacement, but I went into the purchase expecting that and as the dealer couldn’t provide paperwork stating it had been done the purchase cost was adjusted

I’m going through odo stuff on my 2012 E350 van, and I don’t understand.

The ever-resourceful Bozi was also helpful when answering my questions about if the mileage information is available anywhere else on the car. There does seem to be such a way, and it’s known as the “Distance Run” parameter.

I knew someone with a Ferrari collection that included an Enzo. Per his insurance he could only drive a certain number of miles per year on each car. The Enzo was limited to something like 500 miles per year. If he went over the limit his insurance would become liability only. He regularly drove his cars and so I

If it’s possible to increase the mileage on the odometer, is it possible to increase it to it’s limit and “roll it over”? ie, If the display is a 7 digit unit (XXXXXX.X) would it be possible for the tech to increase millage to 999,999.9 and then drive it out of the driveway and back to hit zero, or would the digital

Clicked link and my first reaction to the image was:

If somebody crushed my ‘66 Charger, after I spent 2-1/2 years bringing it back from the dead, I’d unapologetically lose my shit.

Those Cragars date from the 60's and were common on 50's Corvettes back in the day, as an olds I should know...and I approve

9 times out of 10 it’s always a beige car that destroys a classic beauty, hardly ever is it the other way round

What the fuck is “Salt Life” and why do I already hate it?

I’m going to have to pitch in here and it’s not something a UK citizen should do. You don’t talk about other peoples’ politics, you don’t talk about their religion - you work with it. You shouldn’t comment about other peoples’ countries without experience.

I’ll just leave this here
