I actually checked the refurb online store at around noon today, and there were plenty of options. SO...

I have Time Warner in KC, and wouldn't think twice about ditching them for Google. Here in KC we have two main choices, AT&T or TW. AT&T is slow, and TW is crappy and extremely inconsistent. Im actually a little annoyed with it all, being that Google said they would be providing service in early 2012. Missed that mark.

Have you had any issues with the Jambox? I just got one, but will be returning it soon. Im suffering from the static/unusable bluetooth connection problem that many users have faced. Im also worried about the mini usb port breaking, as it has been known to do. Check out the Jawbone forums and you'll see that the

Im still tempted. Hear me out and give me some input:

Its not pain. Its pressure!

Probably. I guess you can't be too careful when strapping your gadget to a toddlers head. But it seems every Go Pro video I see has terrible audio.

The Go Pro is a beautiful video capture device. The video quality is always amazing. However, it is terrible at audio capture when contained inside that plastic shell. They really need to figure out a fix for the audio.

Another for WDTV Live. I have an AppleTV upstairs but opted for the WDTV in the home theater. It plays anything, supports multiple audio and subtitle tracks, and can even adjust the audio if it is a few milliseconds off from the video. Its pretty sweet. I also use the netflix and VUDU services. VUDU streams amazingly

Hooray? I way to "discover" music from youtube and soundcloud? If youtube is your go-to for music, then you obviously dont care about quality. Getting music from youtube is the audio equivalent of downloading a handycam taping of The Dark Knight.

reminds me of this

Gadget Writers: Stop Saying "Take this with the usual pile of salt" or "take this with a healthy helping of NaCl" or "some salt required" or any such derivative.

Netflix Instant is my replacement for cable tv and a DVR. I do the instant streaming for the tv selection (since the movie selection pretty much sucks). Its nice to have hundreds of kids shows on demand to appease the little ones, and hundreds more to entertain me when I have some time to relax. Obviously most people

Starz Play had some good stuff - probably the best selection of films on Netflix. But few of them were offered in HD. Either way, netflix really needs to work on boosting their selection.

I wonder which anesthetic your dentist uses. Lidocaine has generally replaced Novocaine, but there seem to be a lot that use articaine more frequently. Articaine is a 4% solution vs the 2% in lidocaine, so it usually has a longer duration of action.

If you can't download it for free, you listen to it for free on Spotify, Grooveshark, the Artist's website, etc. In that case you still aren't buying it. Now of course through Spotify the artist gets a cut (or at least the publisher/recording company does).

I believe Ice Cubes gum has the most xylitol per piece (at last of the gums you can find locally). Unfortunately, in order to get a therapeutic dose of xylitol you have to chew about 7 pieces a day (7 grams), and that much xylitol gives most people GI upset - aka The Runs. But, like they say, out with the bad, in with

It's a good plan, but it doesn't work for everything. My loans for dental school are about $50k a year. After 4 years of school, I'm looking at a minimum of 200k (not including any undergrad). I can guarantee I won't make 200k my first year out. And I'm at a state school, which is significantly cheaper than a private

Come on, Apple makes plenty off the iPad hardware. Did we forget about this?
