I’m curious though, because it seems like you are saying alcoholism is a disorder because people choose whether or not to drink. (and I may be interpreting incorrectly, and if so I apologize). If that classifies a disorder with your definition, why wouldn't bipolar or schizophrenia still be considered a disorder?
