Well I want it to be safe for the people there and safe for me, and if my tourist dollars can help with that then actually I feel pretty good about it. But when there is clear and present violence, not much I can do but hope this lady preserves the peace.

Actually I’m a traveler and would like to visit Myanmar but so far it’s been too dangerous for me. I’m hoping this lady turns things around but history shows that in countries like this woman leaders tend to get struck down and sometimes even assassinated. So I’m hopeful but a realist. I’d like to visit the place but…

Oh right, well I have hope for them too. And this lady seem competent and a good leader, saw her on some news interview and thought she sounded intelligent. Her English was really good, which I wasn’t expecting. I hope she can turn that place around because I’d like to visit.

Yeah exactly. That might happen to this woman as well, or at least it wouldn’t surprise me. Burma was a very violent country, and Myanmar hasn’t changed a bit.

Really wouldn’t surprise me if this woman was shot or blown up before she could take office. Myanmar is very dangerous and I believe the same thing happened to that lady that ran for president of Pakistan or some other country that doesn’t feel very nice about a girl leader.
