CSB: I visited the factory in Hethel in 2011-ish. It was a small group (and an amazingly small factory.) They did an around the room “where are you from, why are you here.” Two or three guys from England, one couple from Germany, and me and my not-yet wife.
All were there because “I’ve got an Elise at home” or “I’ve

Do it.
(pic not me/mine from our Jeep Club event this past weekend.)

aren’t most lawyers?

Last new car was late 2014 buying a ‘15 TDI Golf. Found the one we wanted via vw.com, got an offer via email from the dealer (near sticker, but under $20k so...) brought our own financing. We did let the dealer try to beat our BYO (credit union) financing, which was a mistake in hindsight (they didn’t, it just wasted

Would you rather Jalopnik just avoid posting stories about extreme luxury cars? Or do you want serious hard facts reporting on this? ‘Cause honestly FK is the best way to address some of the silly stuff that goes on in the luxury market but is still interesting to the Jalopetariat.

Beat me to it. This makes tons of sense. Air/fuel is no worry, and it’s a well defined and relatively short course and duration so the vagaries of battery power are not nearly as vague as other racing.

Panther platform to ‘91 were the last US cars with carbs. But “most” (an anecdotal term to be sure) panthers and foxes were injected by ‘85.
Grand Wagoneers kept carbs ‘till they died in ‘91, and I’m sure there were trucks that held out a good while after that.

Easy CP, not an original bone in that Foxbody. Rob are you a 90's kid? ‘Cause as a 70's kid who was in high school in the 90s I can assure you that Mr. Van Winkle was not flexing a four-bucket headlamp 5.0, especially not with “band-aid” rub strips (excellent description btw.)
I was shocked to learn that in ‘84

I’m 40 now, and every time I see a story about this I want to build another db car. In my college years I had an RX-7 that could hit 130s when the record was around 150. I think current records are in the low 180s. Bass hair tricks will always be cool.

thank you

I hate that the Sergio Marchionne Kinja account got booted (without explanation) because I would love to see his glee at this article. Followed by an earnest offer to Kobayashi-san to purchase FCA.

Curious if city-by-city bans will increase hybrid adoption. Drive to town on your fossil engine, then switch to electric in town. That would only happen if the cities allowed hybrid drivers who pinky-swear they’re in e-only mode, I suppose.

As long as you never say that Kansas City, MO is in KS, we’re good.

The Rock took it from a great action-melodrama with cool cars to a generic action franchise that usually has a few impossible stunts with cars. They got real boring when he showed up. Tyrese and Luda would take it back to the F&F roots and I’d love to watch it. Rock and Statham movie? Yawn, seen it and don’t need

If you’re making payments anyway, then get a 2017 Accord Coupe. Help your friendly neighbor Honda dealer clear the lot for the 2018s

Copy editing has never been GMG’s strong suit. Though, to be fair, Mr. Tracy’s output is usually far cleaner than most here.

KJ Liberty was a good Jeep. Decent ground clearance, good in snow (though often mis-driven in snow,) comfortable enough. Really just a few quick mods from being a far better than average offroader. I had one when they were new, and still daydream about buying one and modding it just to troll the local Jeep club

Jean Jennings had the best writeup on driving the Countach. No time for a google search (wasn’t in the first half dozen results for Jean Jennings Countach.)

I think the fact that the folks knew up front (or at least, we hope they did) that they were buying a software crippled solution negates a lot of the rants here, including Cyrus’. I wouldn’t sign up for that deal, but there’s a sucker born every minute.
Anyway... replying to you, ex.saint, to point out the false

I mean this in the nicest way, but your film posts have me mentally associating “out of focus” with “must be film”
