One year, when I was vending at a music festival, another vendor was selling 'salmon corndogs', which is cubes of fresh-caught salmon on a stick, covered in a lemon-dill cornmeal batter, deep-fried to golden perfection. I'm normally a cheap skate, and bring my own meals, but that day, I sunk more of my profit into

Yes and no. Fiber isn't a magically infinite resource, and doesn't go to everyone's home. I've been in the situation of having standard copper cable, and watching my speed drop by 70% and my latency double or triple, depending on the time of day (i.e. how many users are active), because that ISP didn't regulate

Neither is Canada. I'm a ten minute walk from both busy downtown and quiet forest. Jelly?

For those of you lamenting the loss of developer openness, the Wolfire devs have turned it up to 11.

I know what you mean. My kids were all home schooled until they reached 16, and I remember that the first comment that my daughter made about public school was how immature the other girls her age were. As someone who has cooked many times for people with food 'problems', it absolutely baffles me that people don't realize how easy it is to create a menu that avoids certain ingredients. 99% of non-processed foods don't contain gluten. Likewise, nuts, dairy, etc. The key word is 'non-processed'; the chance that

I'm the same way; white rice is okay, but brown rice with a splash of balsamic vinegar tastes AMAZING.

For more security, rotate the keys for each letter. For example, press the key above for the first letter, above and right for the second, right for the third, etc. It's still fairly easy to decipher if you know the trick, but good luck, otherwise!

OTOH, I *would* spend $280 on a toaster that *always* made perfect toast. ...then buttered if for me.

Actually, having the GPS data in photos is *very* useful. For one thing, if you take a *lot* of pics, you now have the option to sort them by location. (e.g. photos taken at the lake)
