How was Mott the Hoople covering "All the Young Dudes" when David Bowie wrote it specifically for them and it was an all new, original song? My point wasn't that Elton John as covering Bernie Taupin, it was to sarcastically mock the notion that Mott the Hoople covered "All the Young Dudes."

A lot of covers have new music, that doesn't make them not covers.

They really are the worst, aren't they?

You can turn off library sync, dude. Also, my iPod is about… seven or eight years old. The one I had before that lasted about… four or five years. So, I don't really know what your beef is unless you just hate Apple, which is perfectly legitimate.

I'm pretty sure Alcibiades was angry with Socrates because Socrates didn't go balls deep into him when he was 12.

Elton John released nothing but Bernie Taupin covers!

If I'm not mistaken, Patsy Cline's version was the original, it was just written by Willie Nelson. That doesn't make it a cover, just a song written by someone other than the performer, which is common.

It's "ein Lied" because "Lied" is neuter and thus its article doesn't change in the accusative.

hmm… that would be wonderful. Especially if it was written during seasons 4-10.

Shouldn't he already be dead? You'd think he'd be all over plagiarizing other people's deaths.

Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Yeardley Smith, or Nancy Cartwright. I know that Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer are probably more important to my love of The Simpsons, but to know that Homer, Marge, Lisa, or Bart is dead will be horrible like nothing else.

Who wouldn't want to drop some Aklo at the Ulthar Cats show at Club Zothique?  Other than, you know, people who want to retain their sanity.

Ultimate Simpsons concert has to be the rooftop B Sharps concert… even with the tear gas (and even if it's been done).

No love for "Peter Bazooka" by the Dead Milkmen?  I mean, the surplus cheese for the needy is probably a means of… uh… watching people?  Plus, the "real American" narrator seemed to think the radio could listen to him… or something… I'm not really clear what's going on in that song.

It's barrels all the way down.

You mean the students of McKinley High aren't noise marines?  But their wailing, high pitched shrieks always make my ears bleed.

"Will McAvoy says we all just need to be nicer to each other."  Smash cut to the opening scene of the series wherein Will McAvoy is mean to his two co-panelists, the moderator, and the 19/20 year old student who asked a naive question.

Why are you using Cnut in a derogatory manner?  Cnut was one of the greatest Danes in history.  He was a total badass and is often called Cnut the Great.  I will not have you continue to bad-mouth the coolest King of England!

Part of it is, as @avclub-1a6fe96579a1dd50596eb249637a030c:disqus said, that Lorelai and Rory weren't always preaching to everyone all the time about how horrible everyone but they are.  Another thing is that I Lorelai and Rory had really, really idiotic come-backs where they stammered over themselves and/or made no

I had really hoped that that line was her being sarcastic… but then it turned out to be sincere.  I'll be over here, weeping.
