There are plenty of decent apps specifically built to simply wrap the mobile site for privacy purposes but allow basic integrations with picture and video sharing. Tinfoil for one.

You can certainly stop/disable the app from the app manager or a package disabler app from the app store but you still don’t have to use it. It shouldn’t have access if you don’t grant it.
