I understand the logic behind your thoughts but it looks more like they built a Cobra S/C with A/C and power-steering starting from a “humble” 289 (or an AC Ace). After all, the delta Integrale is called Evoluzione because it’s an evolution of the 16V. I wish I could simply hear the truth from mr. Amos himself...

I couldn’t find it but I remember Amos stating it was a restomod.

They start from early 16V Integrales, not a custom frame.

Pretty sure it’s an Aston Martin. ;)

The Festiva was actually designed by Mazda so, that explains the similarities BUT, it had engines almost twice as big and was almost 15inches longer :O

Wow. I wonder if a tiny spoiler on top of that kamm tail could make it even better looking... :O
