That, I did not know. I did used to plug a controliler into jack 4 so I can press Z and get the Ninja into.

Literally every GameCube owner has known about this since launch day. I wonder how long they will “discover” Switch has a similar easter egg.

No, we would have officially heard about it by now. Nintendo doesn’t announce new consoles less than a year before they are released.

Remember, this is Nintendo, which officially announces consoles over a year in advance. If it was going to come out this year, they would have announced it last year. If they announced a new console today, expect it to come no earlier than spring 2025.

It’s an enhanced Wii U-style gamepad. Why would anyone try this again?

As if there are not enough shooters already...

It’s become tradition to always lick a new Switch cartridge.

Starship will only ever be known as the USA version of the N1 fiasco.

It’s amazing how many intelligence experts are posting on this article.

It’s not so much a “rescue” as a recovery operation. Unless the sub is still cruising around, it very likely sank below crush depth and imploded. They did not feel any pain though; the collapse happens in milliseconds, too fast for nerve signals to reach the brain.

Why would anyone do that? You can’t go five feet without hitting a public Wi-Fi hotspot.

That only applies to emulators that use stolen code to run (which all commercial roms and bioses necessarily are). Most emulators themselves are assembled using 100% legal, original code and public, GNU licensed code. Using code written by, say, Nintendo, for example (i.e. Nintendo Switch system software, NXIOS?)

You also have to account for extracorrelation; perhaps bones got lighter simply because it's easier now to survive with light bones i.e. environmental selection.

Jailbreaking only applies to Iphones, much like you don’t “drive” a plane; the correct term for a console is “softmod”.

Never seen a New Mexican eat a salad on Thanksgiving, much less serve one. We’re more liable to eat red chile gravy, tamales, and piñón soup.

Nintendo Direct was a legendary act for sure; one of the things that sets Nintendo apart. But since the tragic loss of Iwata-san, Nintendo Direct had lost its magic and the majority of it’s entertainment value. They are still informative and entertaining, but shells of their former selves.

I cannot relate. I’m one of the only people outside Nintendo apparently to instantly understand what Wii U was, what it was all about, and even the etymology of its name (Wii: togetherness; U [You]: personalized experience i.e. the gamepad). I always loved it, and even more so once it became modded. Some of my
