This is pretty ridiculous. A lot of the times the creators of the fan games send us the games themselves, asking for coverage. Sometimes, the games are broadcast/publicized on platforms that have like ten times our traffic, and we cover them after they’ve made the rounds on the internet and therefore became ‘news’. I

BUT IT’S APART OF THEIR CULTURE!!!

They did put the fire starter in a dress last gen and nobody cared because only a moron would care about that.

They’re not just annoyed that Brionne looks feminine; they’re annoyed that it didn’t start out that way. Pokemon like Gardevoire, Fennekin, or Gothorita are female-coded throughout their entire evolutionary line, so players can safely categorize them as “girls” and be done with it.

I can’t fathom the concept of a masculinity so fragile it can’t handle a seal in a dress.

What do u lose when you die? Gold? So in a genre where all risk systems have gone away for mechanics that seem fun at first but serve to break the game. It is a message, I will not hold your hand. The text boxes but they tell a great tale. Rather that small annoyance than a lack luster game that insults you.

I dunno. Years of FPS games have conditioned those gamers to tolerate the multi-menu thing to select the gun they need to blow up the opponent.

Just FYI you don’t lose progress when you die. You will lose a lot of gold reviving the other party members though.

i have loved the series since 1, played this game on PS1 and have every intention of buying this when it is released...and honestly...if your biggest complaint with a game is that it takes a few extra presses of a button to save, then that is a pretty good game.

When you die you don’t lose your progress, you go back to the last church you saved at with half your gold, but you retain all treasure, experience and story progress... You know, ANOTHER Dragon Quest staple. Please amend your article.

Hey GamerGaters.... Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. Why are you even still a thing.

Ugh at this topic. I’m glad you got someone who actually does localization as a profession for the podcast, because being bilingual and playing Japanese games, I feel like a lot of these anti-PC, anti-“censorship” people don’t fucking get that a lot of shit in Japanese games literally won’t make any goddamn sense in

You hardline censorship people are so naive and annoying.

ITT:Weeaboo’s upset that they can’t ogle and pet underage sexualized characters.

An industry professional who does this job as a career!? I dunno....I still think random, anonymous reddit commenter know better.

The more I read about this team of self-proclaimed translators, the more they strike me as a bunch of insufferable, entitled teenagers who contribute not a whole lot, preferring to complain and complain some more.

This.

Could these fan translators dig their grave any harder with those threats and actions against Patrick? They’re afraid of their precious fan translation might get weaponized for shitflinging and yet they pull moves you’d see on KiA’s playbook. They’re not fooling anybody.

Gamers are embarrassingly whiny.

Oh look, the flaky elitists are back at it again.
