This was going on way before the Orange Menace. His victory only emboldened these asshats. While it is convenient to blame everything awful on President-elect Tweet, it is also inaccurate and tends to excuse the real villains.

Apparently not or they just don’t care.

I see your point here. Public restrooms are pretty much the last actual societally accepted gender segregated (that is one long phrase) places. But I have to believe that the conservatives are more interested in their decades long quest to create their “christian nation” wherein we all are forced to observe the

I have to respectfully disagree. I think the rest is the sideshow to cover their plan to roll back the gains LGBTQ people, blacks, women and other minorities have made over the last 8 years.

It is a “physical privacy” bill in the same way that shit like the “Religious Freedom Restoration Act” is about actual religion. Both are thinly disguised anti-LGBTQ laws put forth by bible toting bigots who hide behind their 2000 year old book of myths and legends to legitimize their hate.

Hmm. I had not thought of it that way. Use unreasonable hate to mask unparalleled corruption. Excellent point!

I am sure there is a Larry Craig joke in there somewhere.

What is it with Republicans and public restrooms? Are they aware that enforcement of these stupid, sexist laws require the very peeking they pretend to want to prevent? Or do they just want an excuse to peek?

If the school is closed, then you cannot go in and we have an entire body of law about schools in particular. There is a huge difference between a school and a US Senate office. And you know that.

I get the feeling that Wisconsin Republicans have problems with education in general.

Why was this a question?

Um, I was talking about Sessions’ office and not that Bundy terrorist.

What time were those arrests? What are the hours of that office. I do note see them there. If you have the info, I wield appreciate it so I have all the facts.

That is accurate, but I saw no reference to when these arrest happened. If you have that info, please let me know. I am always open to new information and willing to hear it.

It is in the BBT building in Mobile. However, that office is a publicly paid for office and therefore open to the public. Sanders was just as wrong.

That is correct. Sessions’ Mobile office in in the BBT building. But once the Congress starts paying the rent, that office is a public office. Unless they were impeding the rest of the building, then they were not trespassing. Every citizen has the absolute right to petition their government. That is what they were

Trespassing....in a public building. That said, I cannot help but wonder why the white Tea Party people who did the same thing were not arrested for trespassing.

For me, the larger problem here is the punishment for peaceful protest. I am very fearful that the incoming administration will punish peaceful protestors with the vigor that should only be reserved for violent offenders. Just the fact that they are charged with trespassing in a public building is chillingly frightful.

“...God hates...”

Yep. Expect it to be slipped into something else with little fanfare.
