I had OEM lugnuts crack and strip on my Jeep Wrangler, so I bought steel locking nuts as a replacement. I know that any pro would still be able to steal the tires if they really wanted to, but I just needed rreplacements that were better than OEM.
When I was about nine or ten, my dad bought his first cappuccino machine and decided that a half-hour before their Christmas party would be a great time to try it out for the first time. He did not have the attachment for the grounds secured properly, and when the machine got up to pressure, it exploded minuscule…
Didn’t Slate and Deadspin used to do the NFL Roundtable? Was there a falling out there?
I greatly enjoy your articles on how not to get legally/automotively screwed over, any chance of being un-grayed?
It may not have been during the traditional holiday season, but my ‘98 Chrysler Sebring JXI Convertible caught on fire during Easter weekend.
Back to the Future- DeLorean mileage on the odometer rising and falling
I love my JK Wrangler to the Nth degree, but the placement of the window crank is abysmal. It just happens to be right where my left knee rests, and having that protruding handle there is awful. It’s part of the reason why I have the doors taken off as often as possible.

I have a 2-door with a stick, but I know plenty of hard core off-roaders that have an auto because it makes it easier to rock-crawl.
The seatbelt and airbag lights came on about three weeks ago in my ‘11 Wrangler with no recall notice as of yet. Does anyone know if the manufacturer is responsible for fixing safety equipment at 60000+ miles?
My ‘98 caught on fire while I was filling it with gas (yes, you read that correctly) in 2009. Luckily, total disaster was averted, but the car was done for, and good riddance!
And I still freaking LOVE that Jeep.
Thank you for the reply.
When I bought my current vehicle (Dec 2012), there was not a single Jeep dealer within 500 miles that had what I was looking for: Jeep Wrangler Sports w/ a/c, a stick, and no other add-ons. I wasn’t in a position to go much further than that due to time constraints and the Christmas holiday, so I ended up finding a…
