I swear I’ve seen this exact post on a Kinja site in the past few years. And I remember commenting.

This is spot on. If the abuse happened, that’s a tragedy, and for that she deserves justice. But she’s also a pathologically lying charlatan that defrauded people out of billions, and for that she deserves justice.

I still pirate games, because I don’t have a lot money. But I do it in a way I think is morally acceptable: If I play a game and I really like it, I’ll buy it. if I don’t like it enough to want to buy it, I just delete it.

This is super shitty, especially since the game is 9 goddamned dollars in the US.

I suppose that kind of rule is why manufacturers often tend to make their devices only openable with high risk of destruction...

To be fair, this is still better than a PSU that explodes and takes the rest of the PC with it.

90% of the outrage is coming from people who 1. Have probably never actually played a ROM themselves and 2. Don’t seem to realize that N’s big issue was he was CHARGING FOR ACCESS.

I don’t care for cheaters when it’s a multiplayer game, but offline and single player? it’s whatever, honestly. I have fond memories of activating pretty much every cheat in GTA San Andreas and trying to do a mission through the chaos.

I would personally like to invite those people to go play in rush-hour traffic! I guarantee if those people were in the same position they’d be absolutely 100% milking every bit of clout they have to bring attention to this issue. Some people just NEED to sow misery and drama from everything.

Have any of the mental health issues she’s displayed (publicly at least) been any worse than those of male celebrities? Justin Beiber? Kanye West? No, and no one EVER brought up the idea of a conservatorship for those guys. 

Every number I can find suggests the BBC gives their top sci fi show, Doctor Who, at most 1.5 million dollars an episode. Just because you don’t get “Crown” money doesn’t mean you are getting nothing.

all i see is cry baby there are a lot of good tv shows that had many season on low budges at half this cost.  Seems to me they just did a bad job.

Although artists have a right to protect their works, I’d rather people move on and support indie and free use musicians instead. Mainstream artists don’t want their stuff used? fine!
