He was very good as the somewhat dim but well-meaning and dedicated deputy sheriff in No Country for Old Men. He didn’t get a ton to do but used what little screen time he had to fully-inform the character.

Oh, I know.

Macy has absolutely crushed this role, I mean killed it, but all he’ll be remembered for is that simply terrible prosthetic bald head. I mean what the FUCK.

I just cannot get behind this casting. The only actor who should have ever played Michael Peterson: John C. McGinley

No, but if it encourages a good, solid listen to Porgy and Bess, that’s a good thing. If THAT subsequently inspires exploration of Gil Evans 50s and 60s work, even better.

That’s not fair! People can have more than one job.

Midnight Mass borders on some of this territory (an isolated religious island town somewhere spooky) but it went in some directions I really didn’t quite expect and appreciated, despite it being a pandemic production about community.

No, but it does sound Bright.

And this ‘do didn’t help:

They say Covid causes loss of taste... in movies!

Too much hate for Don’t Look Up. It’s no masterpiece but I thought it was fun.
