As the mother of a 4 year old I want to cry for you and your daughter. I am so, SO sorry. I also recommend going ro the police/ child services because for a boy that much older to do that to a girl so much younger is a gigantic red flag. He definitely needs help.

My husband and I got into a big fight over the word “feminist” before (because I wanted to make our daughter a shirt that said feminist on it.) He says the world can’t be separated from its negative connotation, most feminists go too far, etc. I’m not sure I’ve ever been so mad at him in my life.

As soon as I read your first sentence I immediately thought of the Flygirl article! I find that kind of vitriol against children to be really disturbing.

When I was in highschool in 2006 one of my friends parents got CPS called on them when they developed a really old disposable camera they had found, and there were pictures of my friend and her little sister in the bath (as toddlers) on it. I couldn’t believe it.

THANK YOU. I have no idea what that other commenter’s problem is. I post pictures of my kid on my social media pages and *GASP* have even posted pictures of her here on Jezebel! I really don’t understand the outrage.
