Sounds amazing.
Sounds amazing.
Oh man, I wish there was a big coffee-table sized art book just of comparison pictures between the levels and the things that inspired the. That would be sick.
I’ve never been as stressed in my life as I was when I was first starting out as a completely self-managed independent contractor.
No, I didn’t, My intention was to limit my access to facebook, without losing my stuff. I only log in every so often when I’m sitting at a PC, which isn’t too often.
98% of my (sometimes compulsory) Facebook use was on my iPhone, which was a big quality of life change for me, personally.
“Henry Cavill has no range”
I feel like having a very good actor, with the perfect physicality for the role, and a great deal of enthusiasm for the material is about as good as it’s gonna get.
You know the c-stick is the exact same as the right analog stick, right?
On the other hand, the God of War PS4 Pro bundle has some real tasteful art, in my opinion.
This isn’t minimal. It’s got a giant logo (and its such a shitty logo) across the face and different colour handles.
Out of curiosity, how do these things rate in occurrence between PC and console? I’ve seen plenty of lewd and crass messages on the PS4 (no DS2, though), but not necessarily as much blatantly misogynistic ones. Most of ‘em tend to be like this:
What hurts the victim most is not the cruelty of the oppressor but the silence of the bystander. - Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor, author of Night, Nobel Peace Prize winner
I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t guilty of posting such messages, or that some of them didn’t make me chuckle. But your article brings up fair points, and while playing the series and indulging in this practice, I’ve probably been lacking some of the awareness that I normally carry with me in real life (or in…
Hey, nice article!
I don’t see why so many people are attacking the author. This is a well written and thought out piece that gives a minority of Souls players a chance to share their stories. Everyone deserves a voice in the overall Souls community.
And to the people who are like, “Children will be children.” When a child does…
One of my favorite laugh out loud moments in the original Darksouls was “Try finger, but hole” under a corpse bent over a rail.
Oh, come on. The writer loves the series, dislikes this aspect of it, writes a piece that explains what happens in the games and what might be behind it.
Part of what Ario is exploring in this piece is why this happens in these games—the extent to which it is elements of the community, the content of the games, the culture of game difficulty, etc. Plenty of possible factors. As Ario also points out, most of the messages in the games aren’t like this.
*Writes an entire article about people giving a shit*
No, it’s like saying “baseball is great, but every time I play it, someone calls me a misogynistic slur.”
Don’t make sexist jokes in Darksouls/Bloodborne via notes. Give fatal bad advice instead. That’s funnier!
