Makes u think
Heather. This series is BRILLIANT. Are you going to be looking across all consoles/formats? Part of the reason I picked up a PS4 is because it seemed like the indie scene was more robust than XB1, and I don’t have the cash or inclination to get a big gaming rig
I think you nailed it in that first big paragraph. Nowadays I primarily play games for their narrative value, and I don’t have as much time to devote to them as I’d like. Given that, the idea of having to REPLAY a game over and over so I can actually play it smoothly is INCREDIBLY unappealing. I understand that this…
It’s not “intellectually dishonest” to favor abolishing an institution that you also think should do the job it was created for.
Bingo. The College was designed to circumvent exactly this kind of situation.
I would buy this explanation SO MUCH MORE if there weren’t a time limit. Hell, I would have played MORE!
This is an interesting take on things, but also feels like they added it just to make things interesting without making them GOOD. For instance, the combat controls are objectively horrendous, yet they expect you to take on bosses who are legitimately TOUGH in this game. Going off of other comments, this was a…
“Is this ever explained anywhere by the game/publisher?” should be the fucking tagline of this series. They don’t explain ANYTHING WHATSOEVER and expect you to trial and error your way to victory. I had to find a walkthrough just to best explain things.
FACTS. If they had done the first or second one without a time limit, they would have been FAR more enjoyable: difficult, scrambling, but without the same sense of “oh shit, I’m totally boned if I don’t hit this event RIGHT NOW”
This is “Headless Man Found in Topless Bar” levels of genius. Have a star, won’t you?
I don’t think you know what clickbait actually means
Nah, I hated this even in the golden age of point and clicks. The controls were even worse on the old keyboard at my friend’s place.
The setting is OUTSTANDING, and you’re right I’m not giving it enough credit. But it got lost for me when I had to redo the fucking driving over and over
Sorry everyone: Full Throttle is terrible. The puzzles are illogical even by point-and-click standards as well as weirdly touch-sensitive (ESPECIALLY the FUCKING LANDMINES), the driving sequences are arduous, and the story is sleepy at best. I’m a huge adventure game fan, and I was really disappointed with this game.
Tbh, I like them in a grim sort of way. But I’m weird, and I’ve got a soft spot for riding around rotting city infrastructure.
I had to do some mental math after I posted that, and I realized the frame fits snugly with both wheels yanked, but requires some contortion if I leave the rear wheel on. Which I do, often, because realigning disc brakes is one of my great agonies in life.
32" wheels, man. The frame barely fits in the trunk with both wheels off
