It might not make sense to aim a potential Daytona 1050 at the GSXR/Panigale crowd, but it could work if it competed with the Ninja 1000/VFR800. It probably wouldn’t cannabalize Sprint sales since the Sprint competes more in the FJR/ST1300 arena, so a lighter road-oriented sportbike with some light-to-moderate touring

When Yamaha extracts their head from their collective butts and puts the FZ09 motor into an R6 frame and names it the RZ09.......................(keep thinking about it).............................(a little bit more)...........................THERE ya go!

As the owner of a 675R, I can confirm that it is indeed AWESOME! But for a roadster, 1050 is the way to go cuz Tooooork

I loved the T595 because it was a faired sport bike for real riders and real roads. It wasn’t as focused as a YamaHondaKawaZuki, or a Ducati Superbike. At 6’2” I could fit and ride a T595/955i Daytona, where I would be cramped and contorted on others.

I have an ‘09 675. Can confirm, it’s awesome.

Why can’t I get a Daytona with this motor? Tune it, bring up the redline, call it good. Daytona 1050 and Daytona 1050 R.

Place the helmet back on the shelf, walk out and order it online.
