It wasn’t about the language, but you knew that.

I think more or less everyone going in to Infinity War has an idea of what the end game is, but the exact manifestation of that end game wasn’t what I was expecting, and it definitely would have taken some of the enjoyment out of the experience if I’d known what was coming.

Wait, does sharing clips from PS4 add a link to the PS Store, or is that some sort of affiliate link?

I can’t for the life of me figure out why this game has microtransactions in it. Shit like this is entirely free, save for a few minutes of gameplay, and everything else is more or less reasonably priced given how freely available cash is. Even the silver itself is given out like candy every time you clear an outpost.

Maybe play a Quantic game before committing to a preorder. They are... different. If things like “controls that make sense and generally work” are important to you, it may not be the game for you.

I liked Heavy Rain in spite of its many problems, but I just couldn’t push through the same bullshit for Beyond. I played about an hour and decided to cut my losses.

I buy UHD Blu-rays because streaming can’t match the quality of the discs, but for regular HD, there’s nothing to recommend Blu-rays over their digital copy cousins. Vudu is constantly running sales with new releases for $10 or less, and with Movies Anywhere, most movies are platform agnostic now, so pretty much

T-Mobile Tuesday regularly gives away $5.50 Vudu credits.

Not only that, but in a lot of places (even most, maybe, outside of major metropolitan areas), the post office is one of the few employers that still pays close to a living wage without a college degree. It’s hard work, much harder than most people realize, but just about anyone with working legs, a clean driving

Technically it looses no money either.

I don’t understand the people who seem genuinely convinced that PS5 is an imminent arrival. It doesn’t pass any test you could put it to. Why would Sony, currently enjoying a 2:1 sales advantage with PS4 dump it to jumpstart the next console generation? Why would they leave the PS4 Pro behind less than 18 months after

I suspect it’s that you are, presumably, playing them on a console manufactured by Microsoft.

Part of the problem though, is that we’re sort of at the end of significant visual differences, technologically. The jump from 480 to 720 was pretty significant, but less so from 720 to 1080. From 1080 to 2160 just isn’t as visually striking with ‘normal’ screen sizes, especially with the processing trickery that can

Hell, Xbox has just now gotten back to level ground from the suicide mission Mattrick took them on for the One reveal. That’s why I’m not all that bothered by the lack of console exclusives. I thought the One was dead on arrival, and it’s been through a frankly Hurculean effort from Spencer and the team he’s assembled

This doesn’t get enough play. I can kill my DS4 from fully charged to dead in an afternoon. My elite controller batteries last so long I genuinely forget about them by the time they finally need to be swapped out.

What they can do is emphasize the competition. Their employees can recommend the other console, they can purposely limit their stock, and they own what I’m pretty sure is the most popular gaming publication in the US. If they decided to dig in their heels, I’m guessing they could do not-insignificant harm.

A lot of the early PS3 sales were people buying it for the Blu-ray player. It was the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market for years.

PS3 was also, even at $600, the cheapest Blu-ray player for several years after it released. That had a not-insignificant impact on sales.
