In Australia, Ford essentially did produce a Fusion with a V8— the Ford Falcon XR8. In fact, the Falcon was RWD and could be had with your choice between a turbo-4, N/A and turbo straight 6, and a supercharged V8. You could even get it with a manual transmission!!
