Tank bag, rear seat bag, cargo net. All better than a backpack that will hold that heat next to your back. Or saddle bags. Yes, there are bags you can get for any type of motorcycle. Although they might cost more, not having things on your back is much better.

Just don’t do what I did with an 1:15 drive - get something cheap and not that comfortable. Great MPG, great little (2000) Saturn SC2, but I was only happier to see my Ford Probe leave.

Buick would last a while, cheap repairs when they did happen, ride is nice, fairly decent MPG. FIL has a 94 Roadmaster wagon that went 140k without too many issues, but he stored it for the winter in a an-heated spot and the moisture got to it. rusted the frame so bad it wasn’t safe to drive. Has the LT1 in it, so

I would roll the dice on this. I would find a set of factory rims, sell these off. That would help the price. I’m sure there is room to negotiate as well.

I have seen so many cars lately that are running well after sunset without lights. If I can get next to them, I always prompt them to turn on their lights.

I would like some what this guy is smoking. And it’s not tiers.

No love for the Corvair, once the rear suspension was resolved? Thanks Nader.

Had one. No issues with 100k on the clock. Manual, base *BASE* car. A/C only, manual everything else. SC2, 2000. sold it because I didn’t need it any more.

Having a motorcycle in the midwest means when the salt comes out, the bike goes to bed. It doesn’t come back out until the salt it all gone. Been riding for over 25 years now, and stored it every winter.

I am not a fan of GM. I owned a Saturn out of necessity. Cheap, great MPG. Drove it to/from work, 75 min commute, one way, 100% open interstate. put over 80k miles on a barely-used car. Never had any issues.

I was with the car for the most part until the miles. It looks nice, decent mods, not stanced or lowered. At that price, it better have ~100k. 146k is just too many miles at that price. And let’s see the inside. The Hella lights would go, along with the +5 HP stickers.

anyone else notice the outside of the door is white, yet the inner is red? Was that a feature?

Can I get some of the black rims from those Tellurides?

What explorer has a 647 HP engine? I would NOT want to ride in that with a set of Firestone tires....

As a buddy of mine who had the 4 door sedan version of this, the K in K-Car stood for Krap. With a capital K. This is just way to high for the $$, even with the low miles. That’s probably the price the current owner paid for it off the lot. Or close to it. $2-2500 maybe. Not $4800.

Diesel? maybe. Toyota? Not an issue. Anything turbo (other than a diesel)? No fucking way. Honda? bit more skeptical, but probably. Nissan? Maybe, because it would be cheap. European? ...if it were really, really cheap and still looked good. Newer American cars...could be done, which, it would need to be cheap enough.

I believe you missed all the sarcasm.

the ‘86 that I drove got low 20's MPG on average. It was 4x4. 22RE (EFI) motor. We lived in the middle of a forest preserve, way out of town. 98% of it’s daily commute was 2 lane or interstate.

This ticks most of the boxes. It look carbureted, not EFI. 2wd...meh...not for snow or any off-roading. Standard cab I can live with. Did when dad has his 86 Toyota, but it was 4WD long bed. Also no A/C (at least I don’t see the compressor) and no slider rear window, no wing windows...this will get HOT in the cab. It

With that many miles on it, all of the issues from the salvage should be worked out by now. Depending on *why* it was salvaged, makes it difficult to determine NP/ND. Insurance recovery? NBD. Flood, ND. Totaled and repaired...iffy.
