Actually the speculation on future performance (vs what you describe - that’s more or less corporate bonds) is much, much older. Google the old Tulip trade business in the Netherlands. What’s happening now is rational compared to that.

please, for the safety of everyone around you, do not daily this in the snow without winter tires. That may be the exact definition of a snow death trap.
To be fair, you kind of confirmed the exact (illogical) reply to these types of arguments.
Watch me. I live in Germany where many cars are still manuals (about 50% of new cars are still manuals, was about 80% in the early 2000s).
And he gets to say what is on his mind without fear or persecution by the government. That’s freedom of speech.
No. Damaging something is not terrorism. If some drunk punks wreck your car or front yard they don’t automatically become terrorists. Even if it’s intentional. Terrorism is a whole different thing.
Audi is really the only one set for long term success with the power, scale and platform of VW behind them. I am not a big fan of their cars, even though I live right by their factory in NSU (it’s a religion here). I suspect though that they will be pulling ahead in the next 5-10 years in that market.
Funny. Just read an article in German news how Mercedes is struggling and falling behind. They are laying off a lot of people, cutting salaries, etc. The missed the boat on e mobility, changing strategies and insisting that a pure ev Plattform isn’t needed. They also have the highest fleet co2 in Europe which will…
That is definitely a new interpretation of flagship. Last I checked that is still the S class for merc and if you insist on a suv flagship probably the gls or g.
Soylent GUP(tm) now in all colors of the rainbow!
I’d like to respond to this in a serious and civilized fashion (unlike many comments):
This. It’s somewhat rare but German humor exists. BVG is famous for their social media campaign. The one about Donald Trump is priceless...
It’s from the official channel but their social media campaigns are famous for ironic content. AFAIK people in Berlin know that well and don’t blindly follow suspicious sounding recommendations (bleach anyone).
If it’s a German company and the captain is employed in Germany he’s probably completely fine. Maybe even get a promotion after company tries to fire him, he sues and gets reinstated and in top of that company needs to pay him damages...
Interesting fact - especially for German Americans like me - the General Slocum fire is considered one of the reasons the cultural center of Germans in NYC almost completely disappeared. Two subsequent world wars certainly didn’t help either though...
I live in walking distance to the NSU Museum in NSU (pun intended). Let me know if you need more...
I respectfully disagree with your assertion that technological leaps are not inevitable. They may not be quick (depends on perspective I suppose) but human history shows they are damn inevitable. From the stone tools to the lates gizmos. They always come and most of the time some smart people predict that we may have…
Well, the smartphone, personal computer, high speed internet are all pretty radical innovations of the past 20-30 years (they may have existed before but not in mass market forms).
Love the video and overall the Changli storyline. One thought on the quality/feature observations: If anything, this is a window into a domestic market of Chinese low speed EVs that we know nothing about.
That’s bs but I can’t quite tell based on your spelling if you would even get that. Wear, maintenance and depreciation are much more than a few cents for an hour (lets say 20-40 miles). Typical estimates would be 30-40 ct per mile. Especially depreciation isn’t just a car sitting around but mileage plays a huge…
