I’m surprised that you didn’t mention one of the most important contrasts in this episode - the way Maeve and Dolores chose to interact with the people that they loved.

Maeve can control others with a thought but did not simply compel her daughter to join her or ask techs to erase/overwrite the memories of the child.

I’m not going to lie - if they make an agonizing choice to keep Phil Coulson alive after 45 minutes of debate and then he just ends up being killed by Thanos in the last 15 minutes, I will laugh my ass off.
