I liked the blue so much I picked up a TLX a couple years back in that blue. Ok, that wasn’t the only reason, but it didn’t hurt.

Although like a number of people on here, I also prefer the Golf R, this was a pretty special car. Very fun to drive. That said, I’m not mad at you for a “ND” for this one, but I think there is a still a good number of people that would like it.
You get to decide the rules my friend! Sometimes I click on whether or not I’d buy the vehicle, and other times I try to imagine what the market is. That’s the thing though, you do you.
And I’d rather have that Golf R... but I still threw up a nice price on this because these are still pretty special and rare and they aren’t making any more.
I like the look of the front lights, and I like the look at the back. However, I wish they went together better. That is, use the same matrix style for the DRLs/signals, or use the smooth rectangles in back. Again, both look nice, but they don’t seem to go together.
Sure, but it should fit the brand, and that “brand” needs to mean something. Audi introducing the R8 for example was solid execution of the concept. If Genesis can build that brand through sales and success in consumer’s opinion, maybe a halo car down the road would be great. Also, I think I higher end SUV (like Jeep…
but an expensive GT that nobody will buy would build that cache? (answer: still no)
I understand what a halo car is about. But high priced halo cars sell based on the badge, (save the original NSX, which as we know, didn’t actually sell that well). All of the former cars you mention came from brands with established reputations. And you even said it later, a GT competitor wouldn’t get attention. An…
or... not. build a bunch of crossovers, make money. I’m not saying a luxury GT wouldn’t be cool, it likely would. But if the goal is making money, this is a waste of their time.
Right... when I read “Ferrari looks” I knew Rob was on the CP this morning. yikes.
That’s true, I just have zero faith that Toyota USA will come through with what you are hoping for. It’d be nice though
All true, but it does look better than the previous gen. Also, the interior (from these photos) looks really clean and nice.
Yes, the Integra is a hatch.
Assuming you are in the US, what has Toyota done in the past 20 years here that makes you think the GR Corolla will be “bonkers”? (Not that it wouldn’t be fun, but that hope is the same as hoping Subaru will make the next WRX actually look like their concepts).
“...response to the Volkswagen Jetta GLI, a sedan that makes 290 horsepower from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine...”
None of that is true. Well, maybe the “in response to” part.
Yup, thanks.
Which is one reason I said I thought this was done pretty well, (and I am a VW fan). Doesn’t make it worth over $15k. The only way I think this is worth $15k is if it’s mint-condition, completely stock and low mileage.
Correction: There are some mods to certain cars that add value to a small portion of people. To the rest of vehicles and vast majority of people, it loses value.
This is just another example of someone thinking modifications make something more valuable. They don’t.
Having said that, actually looks pretty nice, not badly done and the changes even seem to fit ok. And still complete no dice.
No
