We've been making our own pizza for a year now. Here are my tips:

Heh. Just a warning: try to set this up with a currently existing group, you can lose a few group members. Some people like to hide in the confusion.

As a student, it's a must. The price difference is incredible. My campus bookstore often WOULD NOT buy back books, as they weren't being used the next semester, or a new version had come out, and the teachers were using that. There is almost always NO difference between versions.

The work gifting always gets me. I never do it, but there's always that one person that runs out and gets everyone personalized gifts.

Ten bucks at Ikea isn't exactly breaking the bank for me... And if it is, then I probably should be skipping the holiday gifting this year.

Just a reminder for new parents: check the recalls against anything you're gifted. Safety specs change from year to year, and some things are stressed enough after two or three hand-me-downs that they should be retired.

@discounteggroll: DHL must be hit or miss... The guys we got at my old work would barely grunt at you, and half the time their equipment didn't work (important when we often had to pull up a signature to see who had taken a package we sent out).

My office started a coffee club. Ten bucks a month, and they buy a couple different blends. They even have their own coffee pot.

I am more than happy to eat vegetarians. I have a ton of recipes that can please everyone without having me cooking twice.

I considered using the wellness program at my old work. They offered free consultations with people like councilors, lawyers, etc. That is, until I caught sight of the bill one day. Had our name, how long we had used it, and what service we used.

Doesn't Google Docs do this to? I can see advantages to having it offline, though, and not worry about the third party affiliation.

Want to get drunk fast? Lose weight and drink less. Being a lightweight allows me to get buzzed on nothing.

1. Tupperware. In a bottom cabinet in the kitchen. Away from the stove. Let them pull it all out, then put it back in.

I like it for those things that I'd like to IM to 8 or 9 people, but don't want to initiate 8 or 9 converations right now.

The only time overnight doesn't tick me off is when I'm party planning. That can save a lot of effort on party day, if things can be made the day before.

If you don't want to set up your own svn server, code.google offers SVN support. I don't know if you can make it private, but for my open source projects, it's been a godsend.

I hate coupons. I hate the waste of paper and how they clog my mailbox. I refuse to use them. I hate that when I was in an apartment, some days the box was so full with junk I couldn't get it open. I never even signed up for this crap!

I work with devs, who are notorious for this attitude. Here's what I've noticed:
