Dolly Parton is a true gift. However, as a fellow East Tennesseean, I can’t count all the reasons. She just makes me so happy and has a beautiful soul. I love me some Dolly!

I totally agree, but real quickly, Seabees are Navy. They’re the Navy’s construction battalian; hence the name Seabee’s, Sea as in Navy and actual CB’s. I don’t want to be obnoxious, I promise. My brother is a Master Builder with the Seabees, and has been a Seabee for 25 years. They’re awesome.

As a Tennesseean, I say, “Thanks, Alabama! You’re truly the worst!”

I grew up in Anderson County and could not get out of East Tennessee fast enough once out of high school and on to college. I’ve moved out of state three times, and every time I’ve moved back was wonderful. I’ve accepted that this region, the people, and the history means everything to me, and I’m okay with that.
