The guys in PC Bangs are powerless bastards in one of the most soul-crushing democracies in the world - and the fact that they’re in a PC Bang all day means they’ve already failed out of life in South Korea (or they’d be studying or at the office till late at night). This is the one thing they can ‘win’ at.

I never understood why people cheat in online games. Whats the point? You don’t win. Even if you win, you still didn’t really win. You didn’t earn it. so why would they?

I worked on AC for a number of years. I haven’t logged on in probably six or seven years, but it is quite devastating to see it go. Like saying goodbye to my 20s all in one fell swoop. I was hoping to run my son through some of the quests I’d made.

Heartbreaking. I couldn’t really deal with being there. So I said my final goodbyes by myself earlier last week, by going to all my favorite landmarks, and finally logging off in Glenden Wood. A place I would gather with long forgotten friends, so very long ago.

@The Amazing Aaron: I loved the original Galaxies, and so did a few of my friends who absolutely hate Star Wars. But, like many others, we all quit after the "enhancements" were released. They really, really fucked up what was a great game. And it's so sad that they did it.

This game has forgotten more than WoW has yet to conceive.
