I see what you're saying. It makes sense to that some children's novels can't be examined intellectually, though, because the same is true of adult novels. Example: Nicholas Sparks. His novels are okay at best, in my opinion, and they're all achingly similar. It's hard to have an intellectual discussion about those

I am someone who began reading this series during the third grade. I grew up around the series. I love the Harry Potter series with my whole heart and I truly believe that the novels are wonderful works of literature for children and adults to enjoy.
