I tried to watch the interview, but I could only stomach about 14 mins of it. He started going on about how he said stuff that was “inspired” and other people turned it around to mean something else, and that he wanted to change the stigma around mental health, and I just got sad.

I do remember the flap over Colbert, though I feel like the response is somehow different this time? Maybe it’s just that the influence of Fox News is even stronger now. Maybe it’s that I’m just growing so weary, in a constant state of outrage exhaustion and fear, that it just feels different to me.
