They are sports shirts, technically anyway. It was once an indicator of ones WASP status to wear them as dress shirts. Sort of a you have to know what the rules are to know how to break them properly class indicator.

I’ve only been to Selma once, but I’m not so sure about the current level of tolerance. (I tried to go to one of the house museums during their posted hours and was yelled at a lot by a really fat, white trash woman.)

I’d say we’re still acquaintances. I’ve only message one of them regularly, but had no problem slipping right into the conversation with any of them at our last reunion. I’m also batting 3/4 for weddings I was in where the people are still married to each other.
