Better to have em in hand when you finish your perfect cleanup than put the case back where it belongs and ear the sound of a screw moving freely inside.

@timgray: What if you go trough the green lights because you understood the pattern and the guy behind racing the lights reaches for his cellphone while stomping on the gas to get to the next red, hits your car. You get in the wrong way, facing a cement truck going at 35mph. It crushes your car and you die.

You forgot that a researcher at Laval University (Québec, Canada) found a way (a CHEAP way) of printing (on any material) solar cells currently giving 6~8% efficiency. Their goal is to get to 12% in 5 years when it could hit the market.

Monster must be furious that the 25$ counterfeit powerbar is just as good as their outrageously priced "real thing".

Read the full story. Maybe they're not outlining all the facts in this article, but if you search for the whys and what, Your opinion might differ. I heard/read of this story last year when it happened.

Haha, I like the food/fridge analogy.

+1

Nope, not practical at all. Fun for those who like to search and learn, but very far from practical indeed.

@v5point0: +1 to Zazzman. It's a motherboard/firewire issue. If firewire doesn't "restart" during boot and the motherboard lets you boot from the firewire connected drive, I don't see why it wouldn't work. If firewire is disconnected during boot for any reason tho, you might loose the link to the drive and the os

@shkm

You mean Emerge gentoo. God this distro is fun when you have 40hours of free time/week to put in an os. I'm not being sarcastic here, I genuinely loved Gentoo. You definitely need lots of time to maintain it tho. If you have more than one computer and want something dead simple to administer, I wouldn't suggest using

What's funny is that you don't get it :)

Gizmodo encourage this behavior by posting unprofessionally written posts. When you write with this level of language:

She prints just about anything from recipies to notes. She's not the kind of girl who would read techno blogs, if you know what I mean. She's got an old dumbphone because she needs one for work, she wouldn't have a computer if it wasn't that I gave her one, she doesn't care about technology in general and she likes

Agreed

Seriously, this layout is anti-productive/nonfunctional. You guys sound like that guy who was trying to get people to use Windows ME; "It's not that bad! You don't know what you're talking about! It's not Windows fault, it's your drivers!!! Memory Error, see, it's your memory!". It sucked back then, and it sucks right

SoundHound had a 5 song limit when I downloaded it. I was so impressed I bought it. It never has let me down when picking up a song from speakers; even in bars!
