I have super sensitive skin and cannot wear wool anywhere *but* my feet. Smart Wool and other merino socks work wonders and do not give me any trouble.
Germany....I love Germany. I wear a 42 or even a 43, and stores there stock plenty!
I have very large (women’s) feet, and Germany is shoe nirvana.
Not true in Germany any more, either. I was all German leather shoes in Ulm, the first time I went six years ago and saw mostly Nikes and Reeboks (not even Pumas and Adidas!)...
