I wish there had been more about how some people’s dopamine response is different--like I suspect, mine. I, too, prefer to workout, thank you. Horror films disturb me for weeks afterwards, and I never derive any enjoyment, at any time, from watching or having watched them.

It’s at Sephora, which is in malls and some JC Penneys. It’s expensive, but there’s nothing like it and it lasts a long time. It comes in a setting powder, plus some blushes, bronzers, highlighters, etc. The setting powder is the thing—the others are nice (I use the bronzer as a no-makeup eyeshadow)...but there are

Facial hair can help with that...

But you don’t have a generally accepted option otherwise, while I do.

and much messier for females....

I find that having to get up and move around helps—I even make myself use the bathroom downstairs (instead of the one next to my office--unlike my late father-in-law, a professor, I eschew the mayonnaise jar loo)....

I have scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast, a nice protein with a big salad, and a midafternoon plain Greek yogurt, maybe with some plain almonds.

Essentials? Where does the lip goop go? Handkerchief?

I have been working from home most of the past 25 years, and what seems to work is what you say, plus eating plenty of quality protein (as in .75g /lb. body weight) so I am not actually hungry. Drinking lots of water.

But “permanent press” usually looks like it, especially at the placket, while non-iron cotton looks like pressed cotton.

My mom taught me this almost fifty years ago. I have since eschewed “permanent press” items (polyester and maybe cotton), but yes, it’s still great stuff. I also avoid wool and cashmere even if it is washable, because I don’t wear either enough in SC with our recently very warm winters to justify the handwashing at

If you have IBS, beware all these foods--check out FODMAPs--not sure which one inulin is.....it’s as bad as sugar alcohols (in protein bars and “sugar free” candies) for me....painful cramping, then ugh.....

and lots of other bars....

And, as I have perfectionist tendencies, not setting myself up to *have* to practice hours or not at all really removes a lot of pressure.

Another trick I found was to play the new stuff hands separately.

I struggled to overcome my perfectionist aversion to practicing the piano when I starting studying seriously again as an older adult, by simply saying at first that I had to sit down every day and play *something*, then saying I had to run through what I was studying at least once. Once in the seat, I was more likely

This is cool for me, with my super-sensitive skin--I can filter out all the irritating ones. I realize I have a lot of privilege, though, with my medium, neutral Caucasian skin.

I am a woman. A clean person. I do not worry about my wet toilet brush. I put it, and whatever disinfectant water clings to it, back into its holder. I dump out any accumulated water from said holder the next time I use the brush. Simple.

I had trouble remembering to even use the siphon. I try to minimize how much I drink because of tooth enamel erosion, but it is refreshing in the late afternoon....

Because chaos is good for his “brand”---it’s how he rolls....
