More like ketchup.
More like ketchup.
Okay, who gave Torch a copy of solidworks?
They were also sending Lyft’s drivers on wild goose chases. They put in real requests, then terminated them. They also used the information gained to manipulate rates for drivers that were providing service to both Lyft and Uber. It’s way beyond looking at prices.
Everything you say boils down to some just world “it’ll never happen to me/they deserve to be poor” bullshit. Enron’s employees were supposed to know their C suite was defrauding everyone? You’ll always make the right moves at the right time?
The intention was to point out Uber’s hypocrisy.
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When Uber first tried starting up in the city years ago they pulled out because city council insisted they comply with some regulations. Guess what those regulations were. Council wanted Uber to ensure their driver’s were licenced as commercial drivers, passed criminal background…
Great idea! Let’s get rid of those pesky regulations that say things like the driver’s need to be properly licenced and insured. Let the free market decide what’s safe and what’s not, amirite?
Funny, I was just talking about road flares the other day—does anyone use them anymore, or their digital counterpart? I haven’t seen one used in years. I don’t think younger drivers even know about them.
Now how the fuck does the amount of time it has sat help this gentleman see it any better? What, he’s just doing laps?
They should be (and are in this case)held to the same standards and requirements as other taxi and minicab companies are held to, otherwise they have a distinct unfair advantage.
The fact that any shared ride service is able to operate in London is, frankly, astounding. Being a cabbie in London is serious business, to the point that it’s an integral part of London’s identity and a tourist attraction in itself.
A bus is much more challenging to operate than a passenger car. London has a very professional taxi service that has a challenging licensing program. Cabbies have to be able to navigate London from memory alone.
First, fuck this woman—she’s not “transitioning” to black, she’s playing dress up as a minstrel show character. This is a caricature of blackness that she fosters in her own head.
At the end of the day, this isn’t so much about Uber’s conduct (which has been so spotty) but more about the question of what qualifies a person to be a professional in an industry. Taxi driving has been considered a proper profession, especially in London, for over a century; Uber and similar sharing economy services…
“caved in to a small number of people who want to restrict consumer choice.”
yes Uber, I’m sure it has nothing to do with your toxic behavior towards your drivers and your employees. nothing at all
Whaaaat?!? Idk where to start.
“How does being black and not liking Trump automatically become an ASSumption about not working for a living and leaving the country?”
How does being black and not liking Trump automatically become an ASSumption about not working for a living and leaving the country? That bullsh!t gets me every time. How many OUTSPOKEN, RACIST and DIVISIVE anti-Obama supporters were ever accused of not working or told to leave the US? Stfu with that nonsense. We…
It’s so funny how white people get hacked so often and the hackers ALWAYS post racist shit.
